Scripture: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14
Devotional:
The incarnation of Jesus is one of the most profound mysteries of our faith. God, in His infinite love, chose to step into our world as a human, bridging the vast gap between heaven and earth. In Jesus, the Word, God’s divine expression, became flesh. This act wasn’t just about proximity; it was about presence. Jesus “dwelling among us” signifies His intimate connection with humanity, living life alongside us and experiencing its joys and pains.
His glory wasn’t a spectacle of power but a display of grace and truth. In every word and deed, Jesus reflected the Father’s love, teaching us how to live in relationship with God and others. This Advent season, as we await the celebration of His birth, let us dwell on the miracle of His coming as a reminder that God is always with us, full of grace for our struggles and truth to guide us.
Reflection:
How does knowing that Jesus “dwells among us” bring comfort in your life today? In what ways can you reflect His grace and truth in your interactions with others?
Prayer:
“Lord Jesus, thank You for stepping into our world and living among us. Your presence fills us with hope and joy. Help me to embrace Your grace and share Your truth with those around me. May my life reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name. Amen.”
Action:
Take a moment today to extend grace to someone in your life. Whether through forgiveness, encouragement, or a simple act of kindness, let your actions echo the love and truth of Jesus.
