Hello, Friends!
I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about the journey I’ve been on in preparing “Daughter, Come Home; Love, God” for release. This devotional has been a labor of love; a heartfelt project meant to inspire, uplift, and encourage women as they navigate their spiritual journey. Today, I’d love to give you a glimpse into what makes this devotional so special and why I believe it will make a difference in the lives of so many.
The idea behind “Daughter, Come Home; Love, God” came from a deep desire to offer comfort and hope to those who may feel distant from God or burdened by the weight of past experiences. This journey was set in motion during my time in The Christian Faith course with Dr. Christopher Dover at Tennessee Wesleyan University, whose encouragement to share my story gave me the courage to write this book. Throughout the book, I’ve woven together real-life stories—my own and those of courageous women who have allowed me to share their journeys. Each story is a testament to the power of God’s love, the beauty of forgiveness, and the strength we find in faith.
But these aren’t just stories; they are connected with Biblical applications meant to guide you back to the truth of God’s word. Each experience is paired with scripture that brings clarity, comfort, and guidance, reminding us of God’s unending love and grace. It’s my hope that these connections will help you see that no matter what you’ve faced, God’s word has the power to bring light into even the darkest corners of your heart.
One of the unique elements of this devotional is the inclusion of Christian song suggestions with each reading. Music has always been such a powerful way to connect with God. Sometimes a song can express what our hearts feel even when words fall short. I’ve carefully chosen songs that will deepen your experience, allowing you to meditate on the message of each devotional and connect more intimately with the word of God. These songs are meant to be a soundtrack for your healing journey, offering you a moment to pause, reflect, and worship.
The process of bringing “Daughter, Come Home; Love, God” to life has been a journey of trust and obedience. From writing and editing each page to ensuring every word aligns with God’s purpose, I’ve been blessed to see how His hand has guided each step. There have been challenges along the way, moments of doubt, and times when I needed to lean on His strength more than ever, but isn’t that the very message of this devotional? That God meets us where we are, walks with us through our struggles, and leads us into His loving embrace?
As we move closer to the release, my prayer is that this devotional will find its way into the hands of women who need it most, those who are longing for a fresh start, a deeper connection with God, and the healing that only He can provide. I hope that through these pages, you will find a renewed sense of hope, the courage to forgive, and the joy of knowing that you are never alone.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your willingness to be a part of this journey. I can’t wait to share “Daughter, Come Home; Love, God” with all of you and to hear how God uses it in your life.
Until then, may you continue to walk in His love, and may His grace guide you every step of the way.
With love and gratitude…
